Furniture and Kitchen Cabinets are basically the same process depending on the piece. This is how we do Kitchen Cabinets,
1-Doors and Drawers are removed.
2-The body of the kitchen is thoroughly washed down with Krud Kutter (This is an excellent De-Greaser/De-Waxer)
3- Body is primed with Bin Primer (A shellac primer that has great adherence)
4-Body is sanded to smooth and two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance are applied. (Advance is another great product. It's specially formulated for Cabinets, Levels beautifully and cures to a rock hard finish that will last for years).
-
These steps will take about 2 days in your home.
5- Doors and Drawers are taken off site and given the same meticulous process as above.
-
Holes are filled and new holes drilled if needed.
6-Advance has a 16 hour Re-Coat time so the doors will take up to a week to do. After a day or two to fully dry, They're then wrapped up and taken home where they are installed.
Viola! A brand new kitchen for a fraction of the cost of new units.
